I AM HIP HOP is committed to protecting the privacy of its users who access and use its services and website, http://www.iamhiphop ("Service"). We have implemented this policy to provide our registered and unregistered users and visitors (collectively "Users" or "You") important information regarding the collection and use of information collected through the Service, so that You can make an informed decision about whether to use or continue using the Service.
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and is subject to the I AM HIP HOP Terms of Use. Your use of the Service and any personal information You provide on the Service remain subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.
Please note that any videos, or video, audio, text, podcasts, images, blog entries, messages, photos, or other content submitted, transmitted, posted or uploaded ("post") to the Service by Users ("User Submissions") becomes published, public information, and is not considered personally identifiable information ("Personally Identifiable Information") protected under this Privacy Policy.
1. Information I AM HIP HOP Collects
User Provided Information: You may provide certain Personally Identifiable Information to I AM HIP HOP, Inc. ("I AM HIP HOP" or "we") when choosing to register at the Service, such as first and last name, email address and date of birth.
You may also provide Personally Identifiable Information when you post messages on message boards, forums or blogs, or when taking advantage of promotions, responding to surveys, or subscribing to any newsletters or other mailing lists.
You may also post User Submissions to the Service. In fact, Your purpose for providing User Submissions on this Service is to share your videos and other User Submissions with other Users. Be aware that if your User Submissions includes personal information, such as your name, email address, etc., other Users will have access to it (and will be able to forward it to others, including non-Users) and these User Submissions will not be protected Personally Identifiable Information.
Other Information: When You visit the Service, we may send one or more cookies to your computer that identifies your web browser. You can set your web browser to refuse cookies. However, if You do, the Service may not function properly, including features such as automatic log-in to the Service. Log file information is automatically reported by your web browser each time You view a web page. When You use the Service, the Service may automatically collect information through its servers or technologies such as clear gifs (a.k.a. web beacons), including information such as your IP address, domain names of websites visited, pages viewed, and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages, and the date and time. Clear gif, cookies, and log file information are non-personally identifiable information as an individual User cannot be identified with such information alone ("Non-Personally Identifiable Information"). Personally Identifiable Information and Non-Personally Identifiable Information is collectively referred to as "Collected Information."
2. The Way Your Information Is Used
Collected Information is used to operate, maintain, and provide to You the features and functionality of the Service. Any information or User Submissions that You voluntarily submit to be disclosed online (on discussion boards or forums, in messages and chat areas, etc.) becomes publicly available and can be collected and used by other Users, who may forward this personal information or User Submissions to other websites or people, making it available to the general public, and therefore such information and User Submissions cannot be protected as Personally Identifiable Information. In addition, your name or username may be displayed to other Users when You post User Submissions and other Users may contact you.
We may use your email address for administrative purposes, such as notifying You of major Service changes and news, or other customer service purposes. We use Collected Information, such as anonymous Service use data, cookies, and IP addresses, to improve the quality and design of the Service and to create new features and services by storing, tracking, and analyzing your preferences and trends.
We use Non-Personally Identifiable Information for various purposes, including to: (a) remember information so that You will not have to re-enter it; (b) provide custom, personalized content and information; (c) monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns; (d) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors and traffic; (e) track your User Submissions and status in any promotions and contests; and (f) diagnose or fix technology problems.
3. When I AM HIP HOP Discloses Information
We may provide Collected Information to our subsidiaries, affiliated companies, third-party service providers, business partners, joint venturers, contractors, or suppliers for any purpose, including but not limited to: (i) process information on our behalf; (ii) use the information to develop and offer new technology, greater functionality and enhanced services, and provide you with additional product and service opportunities, and (iii) market our Service to others. If you choose to accept any advertisements, promotions and offers from third-party advertisers while at the Service, we may provide Collected Information, including billing information, to the advertiser. In addition, we may transfer Collected Information upon actual or prospective merger, acquisition, sale, bankruptcy or corporate transaction.
We share Non-Personally Identifiable Information with third parties in aggregate to help them understanding our Service, Users, and the success of advertisements and promotions.
You agree that we may disclose Collected Information if required to do so by law or if we, in our sole discretion, believe that disclosure is reasonable to (1) comply with the law, requests or orders from law enforcement, or any legal process (whether or not such disclosure is required by applicable law); (2) protect or defend our, or a third party's, rights or property; (3) protect someone's health or safety or at the request of a third party; (4) act in accordance with intellectual property laws (such as U.S. Copyright Law); and/or (5) investigate any claims or allegations.
4. Your Choices
You may decline to submit Personally Identifiable Information to the Service, in which case I AM HIP HOP may not be able to provide certain portions of the Service to You.
You may update, correct, or remove your personal information, including Personally Identifiable Information, at any time by logging on to Your account at the Service, and editing the information.
To protect your privacy and security, we take reasonable steps (such as requesting a unique password) to verify your identity before granting You access to Your account information at the Service. You, and not I AM HIP HOP, are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information at all times.
If You want us to remove your User Submissions from the Service, please request such removal as specified in the Service. However, we cannot guarantee that your User Submissions will be completely removed from all User devices. In addition the other Users may have already copies and forwarded your User Submissions to others, making recovery impossible. We are not responsible for any public display or misuse of your User Submissions.
5. Third-party Advertisers, Links to Other Services
Advertisers on the Service or other third –parties with links on the Service may use technology to collect information from You. They may also use other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, or web beacons) to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and to personalize the advertising content. If the advertisers or other third-parties collect or receive information from You, their respective privacy policies would govern that information. Our Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, the advertisers or other third parties or their websites.
6. Our Commitment To Data Security
I AM HIP HOP has adopted certain measures to preserve the integrity and security of Collected Information. No measures are 100% effective. We cannot ensure or warrant the security of any Collected Information and You provide such information at Your own risk.
7. Our Commitment To Children's Privacy
Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. For that reason, I AM HIP HOP does not knowingly collect Personally Identifiable Information on the Service from persons under 13 years of age, and no part of our Service is directed to persons under 13. No one under 13 shall use the Service or submit any information to the Service at any time or in any manner. If we suspect that we have received such information, we delete it from our Service.
8. International Users
The Service is hosted in the United States and is intended for and directed to Users in the United States. If You are accessing the Service from outside of the United States, You are transferring your information into the United States and You consent to that transfer.
9. Choice/Opt-Out
Users may use the following options for removing their information from our database if they do not wish to receive future communications from the Service: (1) send an email to privacy@iamhiphop.com with the word "Opt-Out" in the subject field; or (2) send mail to Opt-Out,
